2013 ISU World Figure Skating Championships | London, Ontario, Canada
Competition at the 2013 World Championships begins Wednesday, March 13, with the pairs and men’s short programs. Team USA features several new faces to the World Championships, including both pairs teams led by 2013 U.S. champions Marissa Castelli and Simon Shnapir, and newly crowned U.S. men’s champ Max Aaron. Meryl Davis and Charlie White, five-time reigning U.S. ice dancing champions, begin the quest for their second World title on Thursday. They won the 2011 World title to become the first American ice dance world champions. Ashley Wagner, who is now a time-time U.S. ladies champion, looks to improve upon her fourth-place finish at this event a year ago.
Team USA’s results at this World Championships will dictate the number of spots the U.S. can send in each discipline to the 2014 Olympic Winter Games next February in Sochi, Russia. For complete event coverage, visit www.icenetwork.com.
