All the gold medals have been handed out (46 of them to the United States, more than any other country) and all the amazing moments have occurred. It is now time to reflect.

Contest Rules

Submit your Olympic story! In a minimum of 100 words and a maximum of 300 words, tell us what your favorite moment of the 2012 Olympic Games was. Tell us what the event was, who you were with, what emotions you had, where you watched it and anything else that allows you to paint the Olympic triumph through your eyes. The winner will receive the official 2012 Olympic Highlights DVD and will have their answer featured in SKATING magazine!

Please submit your entries to socialmedia@usfigureskating.org and we will choose a winner. Submissions are due by Friday, August 17th at 6 p.m. ET.

Since the news that Boston will host the 2014 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships, U.S. Figure Skating has been running contest for four pairs of tickets to the final skates at the competition at TD Garden.

Facebook/Twitter Contest Updates

With the announcement that the 2014 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships would be held in Boston, two tickets were given away to each of the free skates in the four disciplines on Facebook and Twitter. The sets of tickets to the pairs free skate and the free dance have been claimed, but the tickets to the laides and men’s free skates are still up for grabs!

Facebook Contest for two tickets to the 2014 ladies free skate:

Objective: Write a Haiku and earn the most ‘Likes’ by Monday at 5 p.m. ET.

How to enter: Visit this Facebook status and write a Haiku.

How to win: Write an awesome Haiku and then promote it on Facebook and Twitter, asking your friends to ‘Like’ your poem. The most ‘Likes’ by Monday at 5 p.m. ET will win.

Twitter Contest for two tickets to the 2014 men’s free skate:

Objective: Get a Twitter celebrity to talk about U.S. Figure Skating.

How to enter: Go on Twitter and tweet at persons with a lot of Twitter followers, if they mention @USFigureSkating and #Boston2014 in a retweet or message, you could win.

Example tweet: Please RT this to help me win tickets to the 2014 Prudential @USFigureSkating Championships in Boston! #Boston2014

How to win: Tweet to people on Twitter with the most followers and hope they interact. If you get a response from someone with a high number of followers, please send an email to socialmedia@usfigureskating.org.

Super Contest

Happy Super Sunday everyone! We’ll be watching the game tonight and SKATING magazine blog has a contest for you.

CONTEST: Put your prediction (Giants or Patriots) in the comments section of this blog only, and as a tie-breaker, also include the overall score for Adam Rippon at Four Continents next weekend (short program + free skate). Entries will only be considered if both the game winner and Rippon’s overall score are posted. Further ties will be broken by whomever posted first.

PRIZE: The person who chooses the correct team and is the closest to guessing Rippon’s final score at Four Continents will win a signed 5×7 photo from a member of the Team USA World Team.

We had members of the Team USA World Team predict the winner and the total score for the Super Bowl. The person who wins this contest will win a signed 5×7 by the member of Team USA who picks the right winner and is closest to the overall game score.
