2012 JGP United States Begins Wednesday in Lake Placid, N.Y.

The figure skating world will converge on Lake Placid, N.Y., this week as the United States is set to host a Junior Grand Prix event for the first time since 2009. The event will be broadcast live and on-demand to icenetwork.com Season Pass subscribers.

Lineup Announced for 2012 JGP USA

The ISU announced today the full lineups for the second ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP) of Figure Skating Series event of the season to be held Aug. 29-Sept. 2, Lake Placid, N.Y. The event will be streamed live on icenetwork.com.

The 20-member Team USA will be led by reigning World Junior silver medalist Joshua Farris. Competitors for the remaining events will be announced in the coming weeks.

Now in its 16th season, the JGP Series consists of seven international events in a cumulative point-scoring format. Each athlete is eligible to score points in two of the seven scheduled events (pairs can compete in two of four designated events). The top six point-earners in each discipline qualify for the Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final, Dec. 6-9 in Sochi, Russia.
